Meet Ilana

Ilana is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in helpingclients meet their nutritional and wellness goals while navigating restrictive diets, particularly food allergies and intolerances. She provides comprehensive counseling for children, adults, and families.

Food allergies affect more than just the plate—they can lead to nutritional deficiencies, stress, anxiety, unnecessary food restrictions, and even social challenges that impact the whole family. Ilana has witnessed this first-hand with her own children’s food allergies, which shaped not only their diets but her entire household’s. Her personal experience also inspired her research on how a child’s milk allergy can influence parental calcium intake.

Ilana is FARE Certified in Pediatric Food Allergies and has advanced training in Eating Disorders, Disordered Eating, and Intuitive Eating—bringing both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work.

Meet Your Team

Food should feel safe, nourishing, and enjoyable—even with allergies or intolerances. Our focus is on balanced nutrition, meal planning that works in everyday life, and building confidence to navigate social situations, travel, and dining out. We take a holistic view of wellness, weaving in mindful, intuitive eating within an all-foods-fit philosophy—so food supports both health and joy.

my inspiration

My food allergy journey began with an almond diagnosis in college. Later, I became a mom to two pretty awesome children, both with multiple food allergies.

While my son’s allergies to sesame, sunflower seeds, and cashews are more mild, my daughter’s allergies to egg, dairy, sesame, and several tree nuts have challenged our entire family. Diagnosed at just 5 months old, Mia also struggled with eczema, asthma ("reactive airway disease"), and frequent allergic reactions at daycare.

We’ve experienced everything from anaphylaxis to tearful social events, but today, I’m proud to say we no longer let food allergies control our lives. Using epinephrine to stop the progression of her reactions was terrifying, but empowering, and we no longer live in fear of food.

My brave girl is now on a different allergy journey—after starting Xolair in November 2023, she has been able to achieve free eating all of her allergens. (Learn about her allergy and Xolair journey here.)

No two stories are alike, but you are not alone. I deeply understand the stress and anxiety that accompanies a food allergy diagnosis—both as a mother and as someone with allergies myself. I am dedicated to supporting children and adults through nutrition and educational counseling, and helping families find safety, confidence, and peace of mind while living with food allergies.

Let's take control of food allergies, together.
